Winter Training Options for On Your Own Workouts

Winter training - an opportunity to continue working on your strength and endurance in preparation for spring sprint racing. We have put together some options for you to choose from. The most important part will be to stay accountable whether you are training with your team mates or on your own.

Kick start winter training by joining us on Dec 2nd when we'll run, jog, or walk the Positive Impact for Kids 5k in support of UNC and Duke Children's Hospitals. Register here.

The coaches will be putting together an On Your Own work-out schedule and log sheet. You can go to your own gym, team up with a friend, or parent and work on your fitness for spring season at the same time and then log your work-outs.

Ready Set Row has a number of options including group erg and cross-fit work-outs in Raleigh and Durham as well as a great virtual program to help keep you accountable. Check out Ready Set Row here.

Orangetheory has locations across the Triangle and is great for building up strength, power, and endurance. They use WaterRower rowing machines. 14-15 yr olds need to be accompanied by a parent. Check-out a free class at Orangetheory and monthly options available for the winter months.

High school aged rowers - if you would like coached erg time at the UNC erg room over the winter break please complete this form and we will confirm the cost and a schedule.

All team members - if you would like to join some Saturday morning on-the-water* sessions in January please complete this form and we will confirm the cost and a schedule with all who are interested. *Weather permitting
