National Learn to Row Day

We're proud to participate in US Rowing's National Learn to Row Day each year on the first Saturday in June. The next opportunity will take place on June 2, 2018.

Join us from 9:00am - 4:00pm at Lake Crabtree County Park and learn to row in one day with our coaches and members of our youth rowing team.

Who can join
6th to 12th graders and adults of all ages. No rowing experience is necessary but you do need to be able to swim.

What you'll do
You'll spend the morning learning the basics of rowing, starting with a tour of the boats and equipment and moving onto our land training device, the Concept 2 rowing machine. Before lunch you will learn how to get a boat onto the water, and will start learning the basics of rowing technique.

After lunch you'll get back into the boats and put what you've been learning  to use! You'll learn to row in sync with your crew mates throughout the afternoon.

By the end of the day you'll have learned a new sport, seen the lake from a new perspective and made some new friends. An oarsome way to spend the day!

The registration fee is $75 per person. Registration will open in May 2018.
